Psycological study

I found this movie to be a fascinating study of what happens to people who are indoctrinated from birth to be without conscience. The movie present the possibility of what might happen when some are given choice later in life. It was a hard movie to watch. I experienced people without conscience, this movie helped me not harbor anger, but have pity AND compassion for them. I thank the people who are responsible for this movie for such a gift.

Ever wondered about the struggle for some"one" living the life with multiple personalities? This movie can educate you quite a lot. This is not at all what it is like for everyone. Everyone is unique, but what you will see is the struggle to cope and the creative measures some people may go to to express ALL of who they are. You will also see the extreme they may go to when it doesn't work for everyone inside.

I've worked with quite a lot of "multiples." Someone did their homework for this movie. A lot of effort went into showing this possible truth.

If you know someone with multiplicity, do not be afraid just because they are a multiple, based on what you see in this movie. Use it to develop understanding. Get to know who they are, just like you got to know your classmates in school each year. It can be that simple.

Fun for actor and viewer alike

This is one of my favorites. I watch it over and over trying to figure out how Val Kilmer could pull of creating so many diverse characters! His acting was amazing.

Kilmer's character started as a orphan who survived by learning to become who ever he needed to become, by breaking the unreasonable orphanage rules to survive, he grew up breaking the law. One might say he became as master of disguise and accents, but he really became 'a new person' for each assignment because he never knew who he really was; not knowing who his parents were.

Elisabeth Shue was a woman who was eccentric and just a fit for his oddness. It is a love story I could understand, one I have lived (without all the action) and treasure.

If you like action, romance and watching an actor who is amazing at his craft, I recommend this movie.

Good laughs

Ellen Barkin plays a man who comes back from the dead into a woman's body... hers!

She does an excellent job expressing her masculine side. She is very convincing. It becomes easy to set reality aside and go with the flow believing that she really is a crude man trapped in that voluptuous body and doesn't know how to care for it or move in it. And to make matters worse his/her best buddy, Jimmy Smits, keeps hitting on him/her. Well acted.

If you want some good laughs, give this one a try.

So Driven

I really enjoyed watching how Bridget Fonda could go from looking like a homely waif to a seductress. On the surface, I think it is a thrilling and sexy action movie. However...

As I watched I wondered if I could ever be driven to such lengths to survive having always believed a ticket to heaven would be a blessed gift, except for leaving loved ones behind.

I wondered how many have had to do similar things just to get by. Our precious kids on the streets ... our sisters and brothers in this and other countries ...

I wonder.

Impressive Acting

This story is well written although I do not know if his family would be delighted with the portrayal.

Patrick Dempsey's acting is impressive. I have enjoyed him in other movies but I was really impressed with his ability to be so versatile within a character. I had no idea J.F.K. suffered from such poor health as a youth. If Dempsey did not loose a great deal of weight to play the sickly times then the make up and costuming was very convincing!

I enjoyed the movie throughly and hold Dempsey in higher regard as an actor since viewing it.

What's left on the floor?

I just watched Lords of Dogtown.

The kid's acting was good, I don't know how much went into Ledgers acting, even though he is one of my favorites. For most people it is easy to act wasted. :o) Although, it was a real treat for me to hear him sing some "Maggie May" with Rod Stewart.

I wish there would have been a consultant that knew nothing about skateboarding on staff to let them know when they were leaving holes in the script. I would have liked something with more clarity for the novice without sacrificing the art. For the experienced, well, you know the discrepancies.

Besides that I believe the script, directing and acting were much better than the finished product. It lacked needed continuity that I can only assume landed on the editing floor. What was with the kids eating at a table and then getting chased out the back yard by a man with a golf club with no explanation?

I wouldn't even recommend this to hard and true Ledger fans, even though the ending was heart warming and brought quite a few smiles to my face.

I found this video the year it came out. My daughter was a preschooler. To my surprise we all loved it. It is perfect for anyone who thinks they have no talent or those who think they might but never explored it. It is inspiring, fun and playful. And yes, you will learn to become a cartoonist! Find a copy and let it tickle your heart while it teaches your mind and hands!

Wow

We used the information in Glenn Doman's books and Wow!! The teaching method is based on playing with your baby using huge cards with information large enough a baby's eyes can identify it.

My daughter started crawling and walking very early. She was running at nine months old. Before she could walk she would find the cards and bring them to me in the morning before I was awake, telling me she wanted to play! She loved playing and never knew she was learning "Encyclopedic Knowledge!"

The basic rule is never teach unless you are able to play with love and joy.

It can be easy to prepare the basic cards and challenging to get more and more information ready to teach, (there are also some available to purchase) Just remember, what ever you teach with love is better than nothing.

My Angel

I used Paavo Airola's Every Woman's Book to guide me to prepare my body for pregnancy. I had a wonderful pregnancy, no sickness, no cravings, no problems. It was delightful. I used Paavo's recommendations to be sure I was as healthy as I could be before conception and you can see how beautiful my daughter is. She was and is a delight. She was pleasant, cheerful and even tempered. She didn't suffer from the illnesses that other children did.

I cried and cried when Paavo died. He was one of our strongest nutritional protectors.

I know there are newer books out there, but I can tell you the information in this one really does work!
